Artist Statement
My creative process for my art begins in a sketchbook, where ideas take shape before evolving into paintings, murals, prints, and designs. Acrylics and micron pens are currently my favorite mediums, and I often work from my own reference photography gathered during hikes and outdoor adventures. I write and journal everyday
I am inspired by the landscapes, trees, and wildflowers around me. Through my artwork, I focus on interconnectedness, our relationship with nature, and the places that bring people together. It could be a field of wildflowers, a mountaintop, a trail, or a beach scene. People and place come together in her works.
A Note from Serafina
I have always been drawn to public art because of its ability to transform a space and create a sense of wonder, belonging, and joy. Influenced by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse, and Frida Kahlo, I strive to create work that is vibrant, uplifting, and meaningful.
My faith also plays an important role in my creative life. I find inspiration in the beauty of creation and believe that every person possesses unique gifts and talents worth cultivating.
My hope is that through my artwork, viewers will find inspiration, joy, and a deeper sense of connection with the world around them.

As a writer – I demonstrate my own unique perspectives on life, hiking, and being human on planet earth. Whether the theme is the outdoors, helpful guides, personality profiles, highlighting historic locales and events, recipes and wellness, or education and homeschooling, I am all in and won’t rest until I deliver exactly what was asked, with the required word count and formatting.
Love – that is the word I associate most with what I do as a writer. I may not make a dime on some of my work and that is ok. I love to do what I do, to bless others with one of the gifts I was given, even if I will never know it impacted them.
We all have something that get’s us up in the morning. Maybe it’s work, or kids, or our puppy, or some calling we have. Ask any hiker why they get up at 3 am and there is no good answer.
To sum it up, I love a good coffee, my family, my friends, and Jesus.
I aim to write something meaningful or helpful to others, and let my artwork take me wherever it may lead.
