Code Ninjas 2023-2024
Code Ninja’s is an edtech franchise, providing coding classes to kids ages 5-14, along with summer camps. I worked directly with the center director of two Code Ninjas locations in Orange County on their marketing.

- I managed Code Ninja’s social media account, and handle a variety of marketing duties, allowing the center director to focus on running the business.
- I created social media posts, reels, film, and photograph all center activities.
- I’ve wrote various forms of communication, training materials, newsletters, presentations, and speaker notes.
- I scheduled all content, and manage our content calendar in SOCI.
- I designed and wrote social media posts, from October 2023 to 2024.
- I also conducted outreach efforts to community organizations, expanding partnerships, and sponsorships.
- My efforts resulted in an increase in website traffic, more social media followers, and new partnerships founded with SVUSD and CUSD schools, where Code Ninjas classes are now in session today.

I grew Code Ninjas instagram followers by 20%. The feedback I have received on my efforts has been overly positive.

Flyers and Promotional Items
I designed and wrote outreach letters and emails, tri-fold brochures, flyers, signs, coupons, and other promotional items.

SEO Blog Writing
I wrote SEO blog articles on programming, tech, and computer science topics, back-linking to the Code Ninjas site, to increase our web traffic, and convert more customers.

Powerpoint Presentations
I created a powerpoint presentation for a Girl Scouts Badge Event along with writing the speaker notes, geared to teaching the girls about women in the history of computer science, and coding. I have written curriculum in the past, and so this assignment was a lot of fun.
Social Media Posts
Before I came on as Social Media Coordinator, management struggled to design posts, and keep the content calendar updated while juggling other managerial duties.
Problem: There were not enough images and posts provided by the franchise to stay up to date. The posts provided free from Code Ninjas corporate were oftentimes not relevant, and mentioned services they did not provide as an individual franchisee.
The posts from corporate would “auto-post” with little warning, advertising everything from drone flying which they did not offer, to a celebration of “Boxing Day,” which is not celebrated in the US. I quickly noticed and took care of these issues.
As social media coordinator, and admin, I made sure the content calendar stayed up to date, and relevant, so these problems would no longer be an issue.
My goal was to have at least two stories posted per day, and a post at least every other day, without overlooking relevant celebrations and holidays.
Solution: I kept the content calendar filled with relevant posts, utilizing brand colors, symbols, and logos. Code Ninja’s social media account is up to date, and I has posts scheduled about 6 months in advance.
- Once the content calendar was filled in, I would leave free space in the calendar, to post current happenings in the business, such as “What’s Going on in the Dojo,” and “Leveling Up,” reels, highlighting the kids accomplishments in the classes.
- I created new social media categories and themes for posts such as: Today In Coding, Code Birthday, Coding News, Girls Can Code, and Today in Tech History, etc
- I provided interesting content and shared relevant kids coding news stories.
- My posts vary in length from 150 to 250 words on average per post.
- I used Canva for design, and SOCI for managing the content calendar.
