Past Work

1990-1994

My work in High School was very abstract, but included life drawing and still lives, while attending La Guardia High School of Performing Arts

2008 – 2009

During a period of less than a year, I painted many abstract “Surf Scapes” from a studio I was staying at in the woods, far from any type of wave. Some images are only details of the originals.

2010 – Opening the Store

I designed a logo for our bicycle store, and even painted it on the storefront (with help of a talented friend who worked at Disney). This was my very first mural I painted. I also handpainted this same “icargobike” logo on a cargo bike. I was not creating that many other works during this time, except for a few block prints, and handprinted T-shirts. I painted a few small works, but was not painting much during this time.

Return to Art School – 2015

I returned to art school, and took a few classes at Saddleback College in Life Drawing, Ceramics, and Printmaking. I learned to create Chincolle prints, steamroller prints, and raku pottery, along with wheel thrown pots.

I would do a few sketches here and there in my sketchbook too.

Art with Kids

These are watercolor Christmas cards with salt. These are one of many of the children’s art projects I like to do.

I have always loved making my own cards, and here are a few more, quick sketches in pen and ink. I love to give handmade gifts.

This was a gift, a portrait of a beloved dog, as a linoleum cut.

What am I up to now?

Check out my current artwork here. I am continually inspired by the beauty in nature, and these days I love to photograph it. I extensively document my explorations in nature on my instagram page.
